AKRADA CampusIntel ("AKRADA", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).

By using AKRADA (akrada.com and all related pages and services), you agree to this policy.

1. Who We Are

AKRADA CampusIntel is a student super app for Nigerian university students, founded by Muhammad Okami Enoch Nalado. Contact: [email protected].

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you give us

Account data: email address, full name, school/university, department, phone number
Optional profile data: profile photo, bio, courses you teach (for tutors)
Payment data: processed by Paystack (we do not store your card details)
Emergency contact data: phone numbers of contacts you add for the emergency alarm feature
Content you upload: past questions, courses, ebooks, tutorial listings, anonymous posts

2.2 Information we collect automatically

Location data: only when you use the map, beacon, or emergency alarm features — with your permission
Device and usage data: browser type, device type, pages visited, actions taken
Analytics events: via our own tracking (we do not use third-party ad trackers)

3. How We Use Your Data

To provide the app — navigation, courses, tutorials, POS-related services, safety features
To process payments and payouts via Paystack
To display tutor listings, courses, and tutorials to students
To operate affiliate and partner programs
To respond to your support requests
To prevent fraud and abuse
To send essential notifications (payment confirmation, tutor approval, subscription expiry)
To operate the AKRADA IQ quiz game, streak tracking, and campus location rewards

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

4. Who We Share Data With

Paystack — payment processing (Paystack's own privacy policy applies)
Supabase — secure database and file storage (EU/US data centers)
Vercel — website hosting
Mapbox — map rendering
OneSignal — push notifications
Law enforcement — only when legally required, or in genuine emergency alarm situations where someone's safety is at risk

We share with these providers strictly to operate AKRADA. None of them are permitted to use your data for their own marketing.

5. Location Data

Location access is optional. We only access your location when you actively use:

The map (to show your position and directions)
The Beacon feature (to share location with chosen friends)
The Emergency Alarm (to send your location to your contacts and to campus alerts)
The Campus Location Submission feature (to capture GPS coordinates of a place you are mapping — see Section 10)

You can revoke location permission anytime in your phone settings.

6. Data Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except:

Transaction records required for tax and Paystack reconciliation (kept up to 7 years)
Emergency alarm logs (kept for safety and legal purposes)
Anonymized analytics (no personal identifiers)

7. Your Rights (NDPA 2023)

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and data
Object to certain processing
Lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC)

8. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser local storage to keep you logged in, remember your school, and store your referral code. We do not use advertising cookies.

9. Security

We use HTTPS, Supabase Row-Level Security, and secure payment processing via Paystack. However, no system is 100% secure. Use a strong, unique password.

10. Campus Location Submissions (V.3)

When you submit a location to AKRADA's verified campus map, we collect:

The photo you take of the place
The GPS coordinates captured at the moment of submission
The live timestamp of the submission
Your user email and name (so we can credit you and pay any reward)
Your bank account details, only if you accept a cash reward — these are used solely to process your payout and are not shared with anyone outside AKRADA's payout process

Approved locations become publicly visible on the AKRADA map. Your name may be shown as the contributor if you have a public contributor profile. Rejected submissions are kept for 90 days for audit, then deleted.

11. AKRADA IQ Data (V.3)

When you play AKRADA IQ, we collect:

Your quiz answers, correct/incorrect counts, and time-per-question
Your match history (1v1 results, tournaments entered, final rankings)
Your streak data (days played, longest streak, badges earned)
Reactions you send while spectating live matches (anonymous aggregated counts are shown publicly)
Your playtime patterns (time of day, frequency) — used only to power your private stats page

Your real name and school appear on public leaderboards by default because AKRADA IQ uses real-name scoreboards. You can switch leaderboard display to "anonymous handle" from your profile settings, but you will not be eligible for sponsored tournament prizes if you do.

Your private stats (per-category accuracy, average time, best time of day) are visible only to you and to AKRADA admin.

12. Verified Student Identity (V.3)

You may optionally verify your student identity by uploading:

A clear photo of your student ID card or matriculation number document, OR
Your matriculation number plus a school email address (if your school issues one)

What we do with it:

We store it privately in Supabase Storage — it is not shown to other students, employers, tutors, or sponsors
We use it once to confirm your name, school, department, and level match your account
After approval, the document is retained for 90 days for audit purposes, then automatically deleted
Only the fact that you are verified (a "Verified Student" badge on your profile) is publicly visible

If you later request account deletion, the verification document is deleted immediately.

13. Founder Voice Broadcasts (V.3)

AKRADA publishes a weekly voice broadcast from the founder (Friday afternoons) via the Broadcasts page. We collect:

Anonymized listen counts (how many students listened to each broadcast)
Nothing else — we do not track who listened to what

Broadcasts are stored as audio files on Supabase Storage. They are public and can be replayed anytime from the Broadcast Archive.

14. Employer Pipeline (V.3)

When you apply to an internship or job posted by an employer through AKRADA, we share with that employer only:

Your full name, school, department, level
Your CV/résumé if you upload one
Your contact email and phone number
Whether you are a verified student (badge status only)

We do not share your quiz history, location data, emergency contacts, or any other information. Employers must agree to AKRADA's employer data terms before posting. If you do not apply to a job, no data is shared with that employer.

15. Marketplace Transactions (V.3)

When you buy or sell on the AKRADA Marketplace (student notes, prep materials, tutor ebooks and courses):

Buyers see the seller's public name, school, and reputation — but never the seller's email or phone
Sellers see the buyer's first name and delivery email — but never the buyer's full profile, quiz data, or location
Payments flow through Paystack; AKRADA never holds your card details
AKRADA takes a 10–15% commission from sellers on each sale (buyers pay the listed price)

16. Children

AKRADA is intended for users 16 years and older. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use AKRADA.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the app and via the Updates page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
